Duties
- Implement our comprehensive ABEKA curriculum plans tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating literacy, math, and social skills.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior.
- Use effective classroom management strategies to maintain a safe and respectful learning space.
- Assess child development progress through observations and standardized testing to inform instruction and support individualized learning needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections.
- Integrate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learners with varying needs.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and uphold child welfare standards at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, assessments, and incident reports in accordance with school policies.
Requirements
- Must pass FBI background check
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or early childhood education setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles, childhood education best practices, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education for young learners.
- Certification in early childhood education or preschool teaching credentials preferred; relevant experience may substitute where applicable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners using clear and positive language.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and experience applying them in real-world situations.
- First aid and CPR certification required OR must obtain after hiring; ongoing professional development in child development/saftey is REQUIRED annually.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that meet developmental milestones while fostering curiosity and independence.
- Experience working with children who have special needs or are involved in early intervention programs is a plus.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
