FLOOR MANAGER - CHILD CARE CENTER
Pay: $15.25 to $16.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Availability: Must have open availability between 6:00 AM and 5:30 PM

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and hands-on Floor Manager to join our child care leadership team. This is a true management position for someone who is ambitious, takes initiative, communicates well, and is comfortable stepping in wherever needed to help the center operate successfully.
The Floor Manager will be responsible for either opening or closing the facility and helping oversee the day-to-day operations of the center. We are looking for someone who can lead by example, support our teachers, build positive relationships with families, and help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Open or close the child care facility and ensure daily procedures are completed properly
- Greet families and children and help create a welcoming environment
- Answer parent questions and assist with day-to-day family needs and concerns
- Help oversee staff throughout the facility and ensure classrooms are operating smoothly
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to teachers and classroom staff
- Regularly walk classrooms and common areas to ensure expectations are being met
- Step into classrooms when needed to assist teachers, maintain ratios, provide breaks, or support daily routines
- Assist with curriculum implementation and classroom activities
- Monitor classroom supplies and complete inventory of children’s and center materials
- Help ensure classrooms are clean, organized, safe, and properly stocked
- Assist with staff schedules, classroom transitions, and daily center operations
- Communicate important information between teachers, families, and the management team
- Help ensure center policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures are followed
- Address problems as they arise and take initiative to find solutions
- Support the Director and other members of the leadership team as needed

Previous child care or early childhood education experience is preferred.
Candidates with limited experience may start at $15.50 per hour. Candidates with stronger or more relevant child care and leadership experience may start at $16.00 per hour.
