Associate Footwear Designer

We are looking for a Junior Associate Designer to join our team to join our Footwear department. This is a great opportunity for those looking to be a part of an energetic, creative, and collaborative group. Our designers have been shaping our department for the better season after season.

Responsibilities:

• Design ownership over selected licensed brands and assigned to you based on your aesthetic and creative strengths, responsible for CADing full seasonal collections.
• CAD work for various private label accounts, typically fun prints with understanding of brand DNA.
• Conduct trend research and market analysis to inform design direction and ensure relevance in the market.
• Work closely with design director and senior designers with creative freedom throughout process
• Communicate effectively with international offices and factories to ensure seamless production.
• Work closely with product development team so they properly develop your design the way you envision
• Conduct sourcing, trend research, and competitive shopping to stay on top of market trends and innovation.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of industry experience
• Slipper Experience is a plus
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Development mindset, wanting to grow and learn
• Ability to be agile while working in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in illustrator
• Impeccable work ethic
• Positive team player

NY Pay Transparency:

The pay range for this position is ($50,000 – $55,000) based on skills and experience.
