Associate Designer - Beauty
Summary:
We are looking for a Associate Designer to join our team who has a passion for makeup and beauty. This is a great opportunity for those looking to be a part of an energetic, creative, and collaborative group. Our designers have been shaping our department for the better season after season.
Responsibilities:
- Take design ownership of selected licensed brands, assigned based on your aesthetic and creative strengths, and create complete seasonal collections.
- Develop CADs for a variety of private label accounts, ensuring all designs align with brand DNA and aesthetic direction.
- Conduct trend and market research to inform design concepts and maintain market relevance.
- Collaborate closely with the Design Director and Senior Designers, contributing creatively throughout the design process.
- Communicate effectively with international offices and factories to support smooth production and execution.
- Partner with the Product Development team to ensure your designs are brought to life accurately and effectively.
- Conduct sourcing, trend research, and competitive shopping to stay on top of market trends and innovation.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of industry experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Strong ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Growth-oriented mindset with a passion for learning
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Positive, collaborative team player

NY Pay Transparency:
The pay range for this position is ($50,000 - $55,000) annually based on skills and experience.
