GMS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing & Business Development Coordinator to support our marketing and business development efforts. This role is responsible for coordinating proposal submissions, developing marketing materials, maintaining business development databases, and supporting client outreach initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Marketing Director, Principals, and Project Managers to help position the firm for continued growth.
Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate technical proposals, qualifications packages, and presentation materials.
- Assemble, edit, and submit responses to Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Maintain and update marketing databases, project information, client records, and business development reports.
- Develop, edit, and maintain marketing collateral, including project sheets, staff resumes, brochures, and firm qualifications.
- Maintain agency registrations and certifications, and prepare, update, and file required government business development forms, including SF 330 submissions.
- Coordinate with technical staff to gather project information, schedules, and supporting documentation for marketing efforts.
- Perform additional marketing and business development tasks as assigned by the Marketing Director.
Additional Responsibilities
- Coordinate the collection, organization, and management of project photography, renderings, drawings, and usage rights.
- Assist with website content updates and social media communications.
- Support the development, production, and distribution of newsletters, brochures, award submissions, and other promotional materials.
- Assist with client events, conferences, and other business development initiatives as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or English preferred; school transcript required.
- Two plus (2 ) years of related marketing or business development experience, preferably within the architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
- Experience with Deltek
- Experience with OpenAsset
- Excellent verbal and inter-personal skills
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Excellent initiative, time management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Self directed, able to work with minimum supervision in deadline-sensitive environment
- Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) are a plus;
- Understanding of architectural engineering and construction industry is a plus.
Compensations and Benefits
- Salary range: $55,000 - $66,000 commensurate with education, experience, and performance
