Who We’re Seeking
We’re looking for a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant who is compassionate, team-oriented, and eager to help residents achieve their therapy goals. The ideal candidate works well under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and enjoys building positive relationships with residents and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist to improve residents’ strength, mobility, and daily living skills.
- Assist residents with therapeutic activities and exercises to promote independence and functional ability.
- Provide training and education on adaptive equipment and techniques for safe self-care.
- Monitor residents’ progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist.
- Accurately document treatments, resident responses, and progress in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Support residents with encouragement, motivation, and compassionate care.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current state licensure/certification as a COTA.
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric care preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
