Gilpin Hall has been a long-standing pillar in the Wilmington community, providing long-term skilled nursing care to our seniors. Located in the Trolley Square district of Wilmington, Delaware, we are close proximity to Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the Downtown Wilmington area boasting local restaurants and attractions for all. We are searching for a self-motivated, detail-oriented person to join the nursing team as Administrative Assistant to the Director of Nursing.
This role is responsible for performing administrative duties and assist in meeting the needs of our residents including: routine clerical, and administrative functions such as organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, creating spreadsheets, and drafting correspondences. Serve as a procurement officer through ordering medical supplies and equipment for residents. Primarily, the Assistant will oversee the scheduling of the nursing department, ensuring staff numbers meet or exceed regulatory requirements. This role will work closely with the personnel department while on-boarding new staff. Extensive time will be spent working within various software programs, including Point Click Care, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Time and Attendance software.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of one (1) year of secretarial or office experience required
- Knowledge of skilled nursing facility staffing requirements a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills required
- Good communication and organizational skills a must.
- Professional phone etiquette
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and DME
- Current CPR Certification preferred
- Experience working within nursing facility, medical office or hospital desirable
Position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
