Duties

- Engage children in hands-on activities that promote childhood development, early intervention strategies, and classroom management skills
- Assess individual child progress through observations, standardized testing, and documentation to tailor instruction and support early learning milestones
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate child welfare updates, developmental progress, and classroom activities
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Manage classroom logistics efficiently, including lesson planning, scheduling, and maintaining a clean, organized learning space
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings with strong classroom management skills
- Knowledge of curriculum development techniques across early childhood education disciplines such as literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners
- Proven ability to implement behavior management techniques that promote positive conduct and social skills
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and community partners
- Experience with childcare standards, preschool teaching practices, and classroom experience in private or public school environments
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing preparation when necessary
- Understanding of child development instruction principles related to toddler care and childhood milestones
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety at all times
- Skills in tutoring young children to reinforce learning concepts in literacy, math, or physical education as needed
- Familiarity with Montessori approaches or other specialized early childhood educational philosophies
