Duties

• Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards and incorporate literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable
• Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior management and social-emotional development
• Engage children in hands-on activities that promote childhood development, early intervention strategies, and classroom management skills
• Assess individual child progress through observations, standardized testing, and documentation to tailor instruction and support early learning milestones
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate child welfare updates, developmental progress, and classroom activities
• Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
• Manage classroom logistics efficiently, including lesson planning, scheduling, and maintaining a clean, organized learning space

Skills

• Extensive experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings with strong classroom management skills
• Knowledge of curriculum development techniques across early childhood education disciplines such as literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori methods
• Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners
• Proven ability to implement behavior management techniques that promote positive conduct and social skills
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and community partners
• Experience with childcare standards, preschool teaching practices, and classroom experience in private or public school environments
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing preparation when necessary
• Understanding of child development instruction principles related to toddler care and childhood milestones
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety at all times
• Skills in tutoring young children to reinforce learning concepts in literacy, math, or physical education as needed
• Familiarity with Montessori approaches or other specialized early childhood educational philosophies
