Gilmore Heating, Air & Plumbing is looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Service Technician ready to take the next step in their career. This is a hands-on, lead-level role for a technician who enjoys mentoring others, leading by example, and helping shape the next generation of HVAC professionals — all while earning excellent pay and incentives.

Excellent Compensation

  • $34.00 – $37.00 per hour
  • Commission on revenue
  • Monthly performance bonus
  • Average earnings $90,000 – $200,000 annually
  • Top performers consistently earn at the highest end of the range

Summary / Objective

As a Lead HVAC Service Technician, you will perform residential HVAC service, maintenance, and warranty work while also serving as a technical leader and mentor within the service team. This role is ideal for a seasoned technician who wants to influence quality, coach teammates, and prepare for future supervisory or management opportunities.

You will deliver exceptional customer experiences, support monthly sales goals, assist in training and onboarding newer technicians, and help uphold Gilmore's standards of professionalism and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform residential HVAC service, maintenance, and repairs
  • Lead by example in customer service, workmanship, and professionalism
  • Support and mentor junior technicians and apprentices
  • Assist with troubleshooting complex service calls
  • Sell service agreements, accessories, and recommend system replacements when appropriate
  • Ensure work meets company quality standards and safety requirements
  • Partner with leadership to support team performance and development

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of residential HVAC experience (lead or senior experience preferred)
  • EPA Certification required
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs of HVAC equipment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Leadership mindset with a desire to mentor others
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and MVR
