Sanitation Supervisor

Position Summary:

As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the sanitation staff. The cleanliness and maintaining of our facilities, overseeing the coordination of service to support the facility objectives and managing the assignments while fostering a positive working environment.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain cleanliness of the facility perimeter, including the employee parking lot, smoking area, and all building entryways through regular sweeping and pressure washing.
• Clean all dock doors, both internally and externally, to maintain a safe and professional work environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all restrooms and cafeteria/break areas within the facility.
• Keep warehouse aisles swept and free of debris, and promptly clean up any spills to ensure a safe work environment.
• Remove all trash from the operational floor on a routine basis to support efficient warehouse operations.
• Operate and maintain the floor scrubber to ensure the entire warehouse floor is cleaned regularly.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of cube line equipment to maintain operational cleanliness and efficiency.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, warehouse sanitation, facility maintenance, or a related role preferred.
• Experience operating industrial cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and similar equipment, preferred.
• Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or contract packaging environment is a plus.
• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive bending, stooping, and reaching throughout the workday.

Education and Experience:

• At least two years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, demand forecasting or related field is required.
• Experience in utilizing demand planning and forecasting tools and software is preferred.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in a warehouse and contract packaging environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and forklift traffic.
• Regular walking, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching are required throughout the shift.
• Frequent use of industrial cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and other sanitation tools.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required based on the task being performed.
• May be required to work overtime, weekends, or flexible schedules to meet operational needs.
