Position Summary:

The Quality Control (QC) Specialist is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and testing products, materials, or processes to ensure they meet established quality standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product reliability, customer satisfaction, and compliance with industry regulations.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Inspect and test raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarize re-work and waste; input data into quality database.
  • Identify and report defects, non-conformities, or deviations from quality standards.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities.
  • Ensure quality control processes and procedures are consistently followed.
  • Maintain calibration of testing equipment and ensure proper usage.
  • Participate in internal audits and support external inspections as needed.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Recommend improvements to production processes or quality systems.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in quality, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role.
  • Familiarity with inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and quality standards (e.g., ISO, GMP, or Six Sigma).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40lbs for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
