The Salary for this position is $75,000-$80,000
THE OPPORTUNITY
Gilmartin is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill an in-person Analyst position in Larkspur, CA. The successful candidate will work closely with Gilmartin senior leaders and associates to build and execute investor relations programs from tactical support through executive communications, support the formation of strategic advice through data and analysis, track and present sector and market trends, create internal best practice materials, and project-manage initial public offerings (IPOs) and other capital markets related activities. In this role, Analysts will be asked to take and pass FINRA Licensing Exams: SIE, Series 82, and Series 63.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyst Role
- Support Gilmartin senior leaders and associates to build and execute investor relations programs from tactical support through executive communications
- Support capital markets advisory efforts and formation of strategic advice through market and sector data and analysis
- Track and present equity market and healthcare sector trends
- Create internal recaps, summaries, and best practice materials
- Project-manage initial public offerings (IPOs) and other capital markets related activities
- Lead tactical communications with internal teams and external partners / stakeholders, including client executives, sell-side equity research analysts, investment banking partners, large institutional shareholders, prospective investors, and board of directors members
- Prepare detailed reports and analyses for clients using sell-side research estimates from Microsoft Excel, Factset, and Bloomberg
- Track and report on client and competitor/peer business developments and financial results
- Support senior company executives in preparation for client quarterly earnings calls, including logistics management, drafting earnings releases, and preparing management for analyst and investor Q&A
- Manage client calendars, including investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, and other major investor-facing events
- Participate in client meetings and calls; take detailed notes and summarize key takeaways
- Substantial opportunity for internal promotion, increasing responsibility, and senior relationship development over time, pending tenure and demonstrated progress and ability to meet role objectives successfully
Experience and Requirements
- BA/BS degree; Business, Economics, Finance, or other analytical majors preferred.
- Additional exposure to biology / pre-med coursework or healthcare industry experience can be a plus but is not required.
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills
- Keen interest in corporate finance and equity markets, specifically the healthcare sector
- Confident and professional phone and e-mail communication
- Strong working proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. FactSet and Bloomberg experience a plus but not required.
