Journeyman Pipefitter

Gillmann Services is currently recruiting for a Pipefitter for Western North Carolina to work a project that starts now.

$30 hourly with $70.00 Dollars A Day Per Diem

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair piping systems for various applications including HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of piping systems.
• Perform welding tasks using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) techniques as required.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other equipment for pipe threading, tube bending, and assembly.
• Ensure compliance with ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes and standards during all installations.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on existing piping systems to identify potential issues.
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure seamless integration of piping systems within larger projects.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within construction or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, and TIG welding.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and fire sprinkler fitting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Experience with rigging practices related to pipe installation is preferred.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting tasks.
