Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Take X-rays using digital imaging technology ensuring proper technique and patient safety in line with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical coding, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards for confidentiality.
- Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and dental terminology to promote understanding and cooperation.
- Maintain a sterile environment using aseptic techniques, monitor vital signs when necessary, and uphold infection control standards throughout all clinical activities.
Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred, but not required (pediatric experience a plus).
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures preferred but not required.
- Radiology certification, can obtain with on-site training.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred, can obtain with on-site training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and parents
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
