Responsibilities
- Apply finishing techniques to concrete surfaces, including smoothing, leveling, and texturing for floors, walls, and other structures.
- Operate power tools such as trowels, screeds, and mixers to achieve precise finishes.
- Install rebar and formwork according to blueprints and schematics to prepare for concrete pouring.
- Use hand tools for detailed work like caulking, trimming, and applying stucco or plaster finishes.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to interpret project specifications and ensure proper execution.
- Perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment such as concrete pumps or mixers safely on site.
- Assist with installation of hardscape elements like pavers or decorative concrete features during renovation or restoration projects.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation.
- Experience in construction estimating and blueprint reading for accurate project planning.
- Proficiency in rebar installation, concrete forming, and finishing techniques.
- Knowledge of masonry, tile laying, flooring installation, and metal stud framing is a plus.
- Ability to operate power tools, heavy machinery, and commercial driving equipment safely.
- Familiarity with schematics, heavy equipment operation, roofing, carpentry (including trim carpentry), and restoration work enhances versatility.
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or in challenging environments.
