Gillespie Precast, LLC is looking to hire a Warehouse Associate, with forklift operating experience, to join our growing team!
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the warehouse location with inventory control:
- Optimize warehouse storage for raw/received materials.
- Receive, unload, and store inbound palletized materials.
- Alert management when quantities are below designated thresholds.
- Organize, label, and maintain ladders/hatch inventory for specific jobs/products.
· Assist management to minimize unnecessary/unauthorized material retrieval.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse
· Assemble kits for “ship loose” material for multi-outbound delivery jobs.
· Prepare materials to supply the plant(s) for production and upcoming outbound deliveries.
· Receive and distribute packages delivered to the facility to various locations.
· Adapt to changing priorities.
· Assist in the coating of products (structures) prior to shipment.
· Work closely with Dispatch personnel to ensure quality and accuracy of products are maintained during shipping process by visually inspecting all products for outbound delivery prior to truck departure.
· Communicate daily report detailing problems and a shipment summary with Dispatch personnel.
· Maintain communications with operations and yard personnel to ensure efficient loading and preloading of outbound delivery trailers/trucks.
· Track inventory of all lifting equipment used for outbound deliveries.
- Learn our Company’s safety program and always follow proper safety protocols.
- Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move various materials.
- Professional conduct: proper attire, PPE, attendance and punctuality, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
· General
o Maintain a valid driver’s license
o Ability to work safely and follow all Company safety policies
o Reliable transportation to and from work
o Ability to take direction/instruction both verbally and in writing
o Ability to successfully complete equipment operating training, as needed
o Flexible schedule – ability to start early or stay late as needed
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent
· Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
Physical Requirements:
· Required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, kneel, bend, climb, or sit for extended periods of time; reach and handle objects, tools, or controls; regularly lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.; and occasionally lift or move objects weighing more than 100 lbs. with assistance.
· Perform manual labor and utilize various hand tools.
Working Environment:
· Work is performed inside and outside in all weather conditions. On occasion, work is performed in potentially adverse weather conditions. Employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving parts, and vibration.
