Gillespie Group is hiring a Senior Accountant! We are seeking a seasoned accounting leader who loves the pace and precision of high-volume work. You will take the lead overseeing A/R, A/P, general ledger and bank reconciliations in a complex, multi-account This role owns the accuracy and timeliness of financial operations—from cash forecasting to month-end and year-end close—while ensuring every detail is executed with precision across 200 accounts. Just as important, you’ll lead and develop a team, bringing prior supervisory experience and a strong sense of accountability to drive performance and uphold our core values.
Responsibilities:
- Own the financial engine: Oversee high-volume A/R, A/P, cash activity, and general ledger accuracy, ensuring every transaction is precise and accounted for across a complex portfolio.
- Drive accuracy and insight: Lead journal entries, bank reconciliations (200 accounts), and cash forecasting reviews to deliver reliable, real-time financial visibility.
- Execute with excellence: Champion a smooth and timely month-end and year-end close process, including CAM reconciliations, tax filings, and lender reporting.
- Ensure operational flow: Guarantee timely vendor payments, accurate bill-backs/splits, and completion of key monthly and quarterly financial responsibilities.
- Lead and elevate a team: Manage, mentor, and hold accounting staff accountable—building a high-performing team aligned with company values and results-driven performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with 2 years’ experience in leading team members
- Gillespie Group requires a background and drug screen as a condition of employment
- A valid driving license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance are required
- The position requires individuals to furnish their own vehicle to fulfill all the job’s functions
Salary : $60,000 - $85,000
