Seeking an experienced IP/Trademark Paralegal to support attorneys and clients on domestic and international trademark, copyright, and domain-name matters.
Responsibilities
- Manage trademark docket deadlines and ensure timely filings and follow-up.
- Prepare and coordinate U.S. trademark applications, maintenance filings, assignments, and TTAB matters.
- Assist with Office Action responses, oppositions, cancellations, appeals, and other trademark proceedings.
- Coordinate with foreign counsel regarding international applications, renewals, recordations, and related matters.
- Conduct trademark searches and availability reviews using USPTO, WIPO, foreign, and commercial databases.
- Monitor trademark watch notices and communicate relevant developments to attorneys and clients.
- Assist with domain-name disputes and related research.
- Support intellectual-property due diligence for corporate transactions, including searches, chain-of-title reviews, and closing schedules.
- Prepare, obtain, and coordinate supporting documents, powers of attorney, specimens, and legalizations.
- Communicate with clients and counsel regarding deadlines, filings, and required documentation.
- Manage multiple matters independently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- 2 years of trademark/paralegal experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. trademark prosecution and TTAB procedures.
- Experience with international trademark, copyright, and domain-name matters.
- Working knowledge of the Madrid Protocol and WIPO processes.
- Experience with trademark searching and domain-name dispute procedures.
- College degree required; paralegal certificate preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, proofreading, and research skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document/docketing systems.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work independently and collaboratively.
Work arrangement: Hybrid.
