Gilk Services is a family-owned and operated plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and water solutions company dedicated to quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer care. We're expanding and looking for a skilled, motivated HVAC Foreman to lead our HVAC installation crews on new construction, remodel projects and retro fits.
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise HVAC installation crews on residential and light commercial construction sites.
- Review blueprints and mechanical layouts to plan daily tasks.
- Oversee installation of ductwork, equipment, and mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with general contractors and other trades to keep jobs moving smoothly.
- Ensure work meets code, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Train and mentor installers and apprentices.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite.
Minimum requirements of the HVAC Foreman:
- 5 years of HVAC installation experience in construction.
- Previous leadership or lead installer experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of duct systems, mechanical layout, and new-construction workflows.
- EPA certification for handling refrigerant or willing to obtain
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Great communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and without direct supervision
- Proficient in use of computer programs and technology related to the position
- After hours/on-call service availability
- Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces
- Observe all company procedures and safety rules
- Maintain accurate time records and send to payroll when required
- Well groomed, neat appearance
- Valid driver's license; HVAC certifications a plus.
