What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver Class A position at Gildan?
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Class A CDL Driver
- Move loads using a 53” trailer from an offsite warehouse to the main warehouse (1-mile).
- Unload other containers and vans using a forklift at offsite/main warehouse.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Sort material categories into their respective bins.
- Hours ranging between 7 AM and 3 PM Monday – Friday
- Wage: $19.27/hr.
Education and experience required:
- Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Driver’s license with CDL License and acceptable driver's record
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- An Excellent Attitude
- Prior training and/or experience with similar commercial equipment preferred
- Experience driving flat-beds, RGN/lowboy, dovetail trailers
- Ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to equipment and vehicle at job sites
The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
