WORK SCOPE:
Safely works as part of a crew/team to troubleshoot and repair construction and transportation equipment
Displays a basic knowledge of equipment and is able to safely operate and test equipment to evaluate condition and ensure that it is in proper operating condition. Displays a basic knowledge of engine, drive train, electrical, and hydraulic systems for construction and transportation equipment- Utilizes basic parts and installation manuals to identify and assemble components in an efficient manner
- Timely and consistently reviews, completes, and submits all required paperwork
- The Repair Technician identifies and utilizes the proper tools and safety equipment for each assignment and has the hand tools necessary to complete routine assignments
- Maintains, in excellent condition, all GCC tools and equipment assigned to them or to their area
- Maintains work area and company vehicles in a safe and orderly condition
- If assigned to company vehicle (Field Repair Technician) must maintains a valid driver's license and be approved on the company driving list. The Repair Technician will be both a student and a teacher
- Strives to develop professional development, and the development of others, through continual learning
- Safely works on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required
- Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Stand or walk for long periods; use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing 25 to 100 lbs.; climb up and down, carrying tools and equipment; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see (naturally or with correction). Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat and cold). See attached Physical Requirements Inventory.
EDUCATION GUIDELINES:
HS Diploma or Equivalent preferred
EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES:
Entry level; some exposure to an equipment repair environment preferred.
