What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic position at Gilbert Development?
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, farm machinery, and vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts in vehicles and machinery
- Solder, align, weld, and assemble components as needed
- Ensure all repairs are completed accurately and efficiently to minimize downtime Experience:
- Proven experience in automotive repair or similar mechanical field - Familiarity with a variety of industrial equipment and farm machinery
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools to identify mechanical problems - Experience working with tractor-trailers is a plus
Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance tasks - Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients
