What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse/Delivery Associate position at Gilberg Furniture?
We are looking for a responsible Delivery/Warehouse Worker to distribute furniture professionally to our customers, and preform other warehouse duties.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
- Follow routes and time schedule
- Collect payments
- Load and protect furniture in the delivery vehicle
- Unload and unpack new shipments of furniture
- Inspect new shipments for discrepancies or damage
- Assist with maintaining the showroom appearance by moving merchandise
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
- Occasional outdoor maintenance, such as, cutting grass and snow removal
Skills
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to routinely lift and carry heavy furniture (50 lbs.)
- Valid professional driver’s license
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good driving record with no traffic violations
- Ability to perform minor furniture repairs
- Maintain a professional appearance
- High school diploma or GED'
