Responsibilities
- Owns product strategy and roadmap for assigned product(s) or platform area
- Prioritizes the product backlog and accepts/rejects work against defined acceptance criteria
- Makes day-to-day trade-off decisions balancing user value, technical health, risk, and timeline
- Operates as an individual contributor; may lead virtual squads but has no formal direct reports
- Translates business outcomes into clear product goals, epics, and features
- Maintains a 3–4 quarter roadmap aligned to enterprise priorities and architecture standards
- Leads Agile ceremonies with engineers, designers, and analysts to deliver incremental value
- Defines and manages acceptance criteria, release plans, and product documentation
- Ensures adherence to security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g., data governance controls)
- Contributes to portfolio governance, risk reviews, and architectural runways
- Drives customer discovery, usability testing, and feedback loops
- Partners with Change Management and Training teams to maximize adoption and value
- Defines KPIs/OKRs; track value realization, adoption, and NPS/CSAT where applicable
- Supports business cases and prioritize investments based on ROI and total cost of ownership
- Coaches and mentors less experienced team members
- Supports a positive and inclusive work environment
Qualifications
This position can be performed remotely with a preference to be near any U.S. location where Gilbane has an office. Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
The pay ranges from $115,000-150,000 plus benefits and retirement program.
