The Electrical Engineer I is a new graduate engineer with minimal work experience including summer student and/or co-op terms. This is not an experienced-level position and has no direct reports. The Associate engineer reports directly to the Electrical Engineering Manager.

What You Will Do
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs individual design projects for connectivity solutions, under general supervision.
- Design/generate schematics, wiring diagrams, harness assembly, and electrical reports with goal of performing on time and under budget.
- Stays informed of new technologies, trends, and regulations in electrical/aerospace/SATCOM engineering.
- Works to the criteria of design proposals, Customer Specifications and requirements.
- Support avionics in software loading testing, and troubleshooting of installed electrical systems for conformity.
- Keeps project lead informed of status and significant problems.
- Supports the quality management system and quality objectives.
- Progresses in job knowledge and skill required to bring added value to the organization.
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
- Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiar with AutoCAD or other Computer Aided Design Software.
- Recommend 0-2 years of engineering experience.
- Must possess a willingness to take on open-ended problems.
- Aviation and/or satellite communication background is preferred. Experience not limited to Internships.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent desired.
- Satellite communications experience.
- General familiarity with radio frequency (RF), particularly in the K/Ku/Ka bands.
- Familiar with designing the following electrical systems: SATCOM, Cabin Networks, IFE.
- Avionics/Electrical Troubleshooting.
- Superior understanding of Company operations and needs.
- Develop a working knowledge of interpreting and producing electrical engineering drawings.
- General understanding of mechanical engineering and assembly principles.
- General understanding of FAA requirements.
- Able to prioritize projects and multitask.
- Adept at computer applications (Microsoft Office and engineering software).
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Good communications skills.
- Possess a familiarity with general engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand Standard English, including technical, engineering related vocabulary, for technical and general work correspondence and work products.
- Must be able to adhere to all established safety policies, processes and procedures.
