Reporting to the Compliance & Audit Manager, the Corporate Compliance Specialist ensures the Enterprise’s adherence to internal policies, the Arizona Amended and Restated Gaming Compact, NIGC MICS, and other applicable regulations. This role serves as a key liaison to the Gaming Commission Office for regulatory updates, SOP revisions, vendor notifications, and project disclosures, ensuring all submissions are vetted for compliance. Additionally, the position coordinates subpoenas and requests from Courts and Law Enforcement within the RCO Office and manages the administrative processes related to player account bans, while demonstrating the GILA WAY.

Review and vet SOP revisions, project disclosures, vendor notifications, and other regulatory submissions to ensure compliance with internal policies, Tribal-State Gaming Compact requirements, and federal regulations.

• Serve as a liaison to the Gaming Commission Office, providing updates, reporting, and communications on behalf of the Enterprise.

• Coordinate the fulfillment of subpoenas and other requests from Courts and Law Enforcement agencies within the RCO Office.

• Conduct administrative processes related to the application of bans to player accounts.

• Monitor regulatory compliance throughout the Enterprise and assist with, corrective actions, and reporting.

• Assist with regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring timely submissions to appropriate agencies.

• Maintain accurate compliance-related databases, including excluded persons’ lists, PolicyTech for SOP submissions, and other regulatory records/tools.

• Communicate compliance expectations and updates effectively between Enterprise management, gaming departments, employees, and the Tribal Gaming Regulatory Authority (TGRA).

• Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of regulatory compliance experience within a gaming or Tribal regulatory environment.

• Working knowledge of Tribal-State Gaming Compact requirements, NIGC Minimum Internal Control Standards, and internal policies and procedures.

• Experience assisting with regulatory reporting, and compliance reviews.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Self-starter with the ability to follow-up and complete tasks independently, with minimal guidance.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and gain cooperation from internal and external stakeholders.

• This position must have, or be able to acquire within one year, an in-depth knowledge of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to their responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Law, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or related field.

• Experience with regulatory training, policy drafting, and program governance.

• High-level communication skills and experience interacting with executives and regulators.

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in regulatory compliance or related function.

3. Experience in gaming, Tribal regulatory, or financial compliance environments preferred.

4. Experience assisting with procedure writing, internal investigations, and regulatory reporting preferred.

Intermediate skills in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office Suite Software, email and Enterprise specific programs (PolicyTech, SharePoint, Smartsheet). Experience in SQL, BI, and other data analytical software a plus.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
