Code Compliance Specialist - Short Term Rentals

This position investigates potentially unregistered short-term rental properties and other complaints in Gila County, verifies ownership using recorded property deeds, drafts legal documents for service of process, presents evidence at a hearing to the Gila County Hearing Officer, and monitors the status of a high volume of cases. This position may also conduct on-site inspections and prepare reports on inspections. The role also involves customer service duties.

• Prepares Letters, Notice of Violation/Summons and sets hearing and compliance dates. ```{=html}

• Conducts site inspections, verifying validity of complaint, composes consequent reports, and opens cases, referring relevant items to other government agencies. ```{=html}

• Interprets County codes and determines/helps to meet permit and other requirements. ```{=html}

• Monitors cases and reports any changes, keeping complainants informed, and works with owners to resolve violations and achieve compliance. ```{=html}
