Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Director of Construction, based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Director of Construction will lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards. Responsibilities include managing project teams, coordinating subcontractors, overseeing procurement, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The Director will also conduct cost management, liaise with clients, and ensure seamless communication between all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in construction and civil engineering, with a strong understanding of industry standards and construction processes.
- Strong skills in budgeting and cost management to ensure projects remain financially viable and efficient.
- Proficiency in procurement, including selecting suppliers and managing contracts and material sourcing.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear collaboration with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in managing large-scale construction projects in Florida is a significant advantage.
