Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a diverse range of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other confections following established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision, creativity, and attention to detail to ensure visually appealing presentation
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and slicing machines safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation protocols
- Package baked items carefully for retail display or catering orders while ensuring freshness and quality
- Assist in food preparation tasks related to doughs, fillings, glazes, and toppings as needed for high-volume production
- Follow all food handling procedures diligently to ensure safety standards are met at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in cake decorating techniques including piping, fondant work, and creative design elements
- Knowledge of food production processes within a busy bakery environment with high-volume output capabilities
