Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely to various destinations, ensuring excellent customer service and timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have experience with route driving, warehouse operations, and operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks. Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products to customers and clients
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques
- Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and professionally
- Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory, organizing shipments, and maintaining cleanliness
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Navigate using GPS or maps, adhering to traffic laws and safety standards at all times
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch or management regarding delivery status or issues
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving experience in a commercial setting
- Valid
driver’s license with a clean driving record - Experience operating box trucks, forklift, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of cargo safely and efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor
- Warehouse experience is a plus for handling inventory and loading/unloading tasks
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to driving and warehouse operations
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adhere to delivery schedules
