Senior Retail and Ecom Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. Experience in retail or e-commerce is highly valued. Responsibilities

• Oversee bookkeeping for multiple brands and manage our in-house bookeeper.
• Prepare, analyze, and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Manage payroll.
• Ensure adherence to financial compliance standards.
• Assist with external audits by preparing documentation and supporting schedules related to public accounting standards.
• Conduct reglary analysis to identify discrepancies, savings, or trends.
• Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain accurate financial records across multiple accounting systems.
• Contribute to the development of financial reports for management review and decision-making purposes.

Skills

• Extensive experience with accounting software and willingness to adapt and use our internal ERP.
• Familiarity with inventory, and accounting for COGS.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and technical accounting concepts.
• Proficiency in Excel data analysis, including advanced formulas and functions.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and internal control procedures.
• Use of AI to maximize efficiency and time.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.
• Familiarity with governmental accounting standards if applicable; experience in non-profit or corporate accounting is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks such as invoice processing, data entry, and account reconciliation efficiently.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
