- Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques
- Support children with homework, tutoring, or educational exercises to reinforce learning
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Assist with daily routines such as snack time, outdoor play, and transition activities to ensure smooth operations
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings, daycare, or camp environments is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices
- Strong classroom management skills to foster a respectful and productive environment
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable to ensure safety in emergency situations
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs, including those requiring special education support
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members positively
