Gig Harbor Golf Club is looking for a Part-Time Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team! If you thrive in a team environment, enjoy connecting with guests, and are passionate about creating memorable experiences, we’d love to meet you.
Position Overview:
As a Bartender, you’ll serve food and beverages in our bar, patio, and event spaces while providing friendly, attentive service to our members and guests. You’ll also help oversee private event rentals when scheduled, ensuring everything runs smoothly and guests have an excellent experience. This position reports directly to the Bar Manager and Clubhouse Manager, with opportunities to expand into a full-time role in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and serve members and guests with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and confidently discuss menu and club offerings.
- Serve and clear food and beverages while following all safety and service protocols.
- Check guest IDs and serve alcohol responsibly.
- Assist with and oversee private event rentals, ensuring smooth setup, service, and guest satisfaction.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bar and service areas.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
- Report safety concerns, maintenance needs, or guest feedback promptly.
- Some golf knowledge is helpful but can be taught on the job.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1–3 months of bartending or serving experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate).
- Must meet WA State minimum age for alcohol service.
- WA Food Handler’s Permit and Class 12 Mixologist Permit (within 30 days of hire).
- Comfortable with basic math and cash handling.
- Available evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
