Position Overview:
As a Medical Office Assistant in Optometry, you'll play a key role in supporting our doctors and helping patients by verifying insurances, scheduling appointments, performing pre-testing, assisting with contact lens training, and providing excellent customer service. If you're a quick learner who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and direct them professionally
- Verify patient insurance and update records
- Check in and check out patients
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
- Collect payments and reconcile daily receipts
- Perform pre-testing for doctors
- Assist with diagnostic contact lens orders and restocking supplies
- Follow-up phone calls with patients for reminders and feedback
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions
- Keep the office clean, organized, and professional
- Collaborate with doctors and team members to ensure smooth operations
