Track out camp & summer camp staff

Do you enjoy working with children and planning creative, engaging activities? Gifted Stars is seeking reliable, enthusiastic camp staff to help children ages 5–12 learn, explore, and have fun!

Available Shifts

• 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
• 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Pay: $14–$18 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Position Type: Seasonal

Seasonal Availability

Applicants should be available for camp sessions lasting approximately 2–3 weeks during these seasonal windows:

• Fall track-out: Typically late September through mid-October
• Winter break: Typically late December
• Spring track-out: Typically late March through early April
• Summer camp: Dates provided before the season begins

We are looking for someone who can consistently commit to their scheduled shifts throughout each camp session.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead daily crafts, games, and age-appropriate activities.
• Supervise outdoor play and walks to the park.
• Create a welcoming, engaging environment for children.
• Independently lead and supervise a group of 6–8 children ages 5–12.
• Accompany and supervise children on summer field trips.
• Support positive behavior, cooperation, and respectful interactions.
• Help keep camp spaces and supplies clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
• Comfortable independently supervising a small group of children.
• Creative, patient, energetic, and attentive to children’s needs.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification before starting.
• Willingness to complete and pass a background check.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
