Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with individualized education programs (IEPs) and curriculum standards for early childhood and elementary students.
- Lead classroom activities that promote literacy, math, communication skills, and social-emotional development using evidence-based teaching strategies.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques tailored for students with special needs and developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to support student progress and implement instructional modifications.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress using standardized testing and observational data to inform instruction and update IEPs.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share student achievements, address concerns, and foster strong home-school partnerships.
- Integrate educational technology tools to enhance learning experiences and facilitate differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development, instructional modifications, and behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
- Skilled in curriculum development across literacy education, math, early childhood education, and preschool settings.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment conducive to learning.
- Experience in early intervention programs and working with students with neurodevelopmental challenges.
- Proficiency in educational technology integration to support diverse learning needs.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff or teaching assistants while fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.
