Responsibilities
Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) support the speech-language pathologist in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. SLPA job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by SLP
- Follow documented treatment plans and protocols developed by the supervising SLP
- Program and provide instruction in the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices
