Position Details
Title: Toddler Teacher Assistant
Location: Broussard
Qualifications
- Teacher assistants must have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in a public or private school, a licensed preschool or early childhood center
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must be able to work with others
- Must be dependable
- Must have an understanding of child development and child behaviors
- Must have a valid CPR certification or be willing to complete certification in the first 30 days
- Must pass a criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and engaging students in educational activities.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive learning environment and addressing behavioral issues.
- Provide individual attention to children, fostering their development and addressing specific needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom.
- Participate in 12 hours of professional development opportunities annually to enhance skills in early childhood education.
- Follow all Gifted Early Learning Academy policies
