What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Connections Specialist position at Gifford Health Care?
Gifford Health Care is seeking a Health Connections Specialist to work in our Randolph, VT location.
The Health Connections Specialist will work with patients of Gifford Medical Center and Gifford Health Care to receive the medical care needed regardless of the ability to pay. This position will meet with and assist patients with acquiring insurance, when possible. The Health Connections Specialist will also work as a navigator for the state supplied insurance for uninsured patients and work with local pharmacies to ensure coverage for needed prescriptions for patients.
Strong time management/organization skills, ability to multi-task and communicate effectively in a professional manner are fundamental to the role.
