Position Summary:
The Supply Chain intern will act as the key project resource for the S&OP Client and Material Segementation project. The intern will partner with various stakeholders (Sr Supply Chain Manager, Demand Planner, Material Planners, and VP of Sales) to define and document client segmentation for material ordering based on forecast vs orders and risk to inventory obsolescence and working capital . Additonally, the intern will support Data Management with updating material master data within SAP for local descriptions.

Duties & Responsibilities:
S&OP Client and Material Segmentation
- Identify and classify material risk based upon number of customers using material, $ amount, and material format (i.e. sheet layout, chip type, inlay type, etc).
- Define customers and materials to be ordered based on forecast vs orders per material risk $ thresholds.
- Create and document S&OP material approval process based on defined thresholds.
- Partner with Data Management to identify updates needed to local descriptions for active materials within SAP.
Working towards a Bachelors degree in:
- Supply Chain Management , Analytics, or Economics
- MS Excel
- Various Analytics tools
- Solid communication skills and business acumen
- Meet with stakeholders for S&OP Client and Material Segementation project
- Sr Supply Chain Manager, Demand Planner, Material Planners, VP of Sales
- Gather applicable historical data for clients and materials for segmentation review (material usage by number of customers for last 12 months, material dollar value, material formats)
- Meet with stakeholders to classify customer risk, dollar thresholds and process steps for monthly review
- Create S&OP material approval form, define and document process flow map for review and approval, and create SOPs for approval process
- Meet with stakeholders to define sustainment process for client and material classification updates (i.e. annual review). Document process map and SOPs.
Salary : $20
