About the Role: As an Industrial Maintenance Technician at Giesecke Devrient, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing complex electrical machinery, and collaborating with production supervisors to ensure that equipment is set up correctly.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment using technical blueprints and schematics.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to ensure machines are set up according to daily schedules.
- Investigate equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Adhere to ISO standards and ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, eliminating safety hazards.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
- Communicate unresolved issues to management promptly.
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability for critical repairs.
- Train colleagues on equipment maintenance and operational procedures.
- Follow and participate in plant safety and housekeeping guidelines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in repairing complex electrical machinery.
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and blueprints.
- Familiarity with PLC, AC/DC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Exacting standards of personal integrity with the ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels.
- Ability to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, and stackers.
- Competence in handling potentially hazardous materials safely.
- Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent eyesight (correctable to 20/20) and normal color perception.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a drug test and criminal background check prior to employment.
