The Cybersecurity & IT Information Security Intern supports the local IT Security Administrator in strengthening cyber fundamentals and gaining a high-level overview of governance processes. Responsibilities include configuring and running local security scans, troubleshooting and maintaining scanning tools, reviewing vulnerabilities, researching remediation and best practices, and assisting local internal audit teams.

Job Summary:

Job Duties:
- Configure and run vulnerability scans with IT Security Administrator
- Troubleshoot and review scan results and outputs
- Triage vulnerabilities and research remediation and best practices
- Support internal security information requests
- Collect and review IT security-related audit requirements
- Work performed in an office environment
- No travel required
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, IT, or Audit
- Enterprise IT familiarity (highly desired, not required)
- Clear communication skills
- Team-focused attitude
- No specific systems/tools/software required
- 30 Days: Introduction to vulnerability scanning, triage, and knowledge sources
- 60 Days: Understanding vulnerability governance and best practices in a compliance-driven environment
- 90 Days: Exposure to internal audit processes and IT compliance requirements
