Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:Giesecke Devrient is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team on 1st shift in Bolingbrook, IL. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our production equipment. Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment using technical blueprints and schematics.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to ensure machines are set up according to daily schedules.
- Investigate equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Adhere to ISO standards and ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, eliminating safety hazards.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
- Communicate unresolved issues to management promptly.
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability for critical repairs.
- Train colleagues on equipment maintenance and operational procedures.
- Follow and participate in plant safety and housekeeping guidelines.
- Proven experience in repairing complex electrical machinery.
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and blueprints.
- Familiarity with PLC, AC/DC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Exacting standards of personal integrity with the ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels.
- Ability to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, and stackers.
- Competence in handling potentially hazardous materials safely.
- Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent eyesight (correctable to 20/20) and normal color perception.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a drug test and criminal background check prior to employment.
- Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- 2-4 years of vocational and/or maintenance technician experience.
- Technical degree from an accredited institution.
- PLC experience.
