Estate Planning Legal Secretary Part Time

The Gierach Law Firm is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Legal Secretary to join our Estate Planning Team in our Naperville office.  The successful candidate will support the office in all phases of estate planning.  They will play a critical role in managing client files, maintaining compliance, and facilitating clear communication with clients.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

• Collect and organize financial, personal, and asset information from clients.
• Manage and maintain client files, both digital and physical, in accordance with firm policies.
• Monitor deadlines and maintain tickler systems for follow-up.
• Communicate professionally with clients, financial advisors, and other third parties.

 
Qualifications:
 

• Minimum 5 years experience in estate planning or a related legal field.
• Strong understanding of estate planning documents, terminology, and procedures.
• Experience with legal practice management software such as Smokeball. 

 
Key Skills:
 

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional demeanor and discretion with confidential information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

 
Working Conditions:
 

• Position is in office.
• Occasional client meetings or signings may occur outside of normal office hours.

 
Pay and Work Schedule:
 

• Pay is based per hour - Commensurate with experience
• Optimal work schedule would be 4 hours per day between the hours of 9am and  5pm.
