Job Overview
As a Quality Assurance Technician at Gielow Pickles, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and consistency. You will work closely with our production team to monitor and maintain quality control processes throughout all stages of production, from raw materials to finished goods. This position reports to the Director of Quality and Food Safety and offers an opportunity to contribute to the success and reputation of a well-established brand.
Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance Monitoring: Conduct routine inspections and quality checks on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all quality testing, inspections, and corrective actions taken. Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for process improvement that can enhance product quality, increase efficiency, and reduce waste. Implement and monitor these improvements to ensure effectiveness.
- Training and Support: Provide guidance and training to production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Foster a culture of quality consciousness and accountability across the organization.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all quality control activities align with food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP) and company policies. Participate in audits and inspections as needed.
- Problem Solving: Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and management, to address quality concerns, share insights, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.29 - $21.38 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
