Sanitation Laborer - Part Time

Job Overview
The Part-Time Sanitation Worker is responsible for performing deep, detailed cleaning and sanitation of all production equipment and facility areas. This role ensures the plant meets strict cleanliness, safety, and food safety standards. This position works a single shift on Sundays, typically lasting 12–14 hours.

Schedule:

• Sundays only
• 12–14 hour shifts (hours may vary based on production needs)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough, deep cleaning of all production machinery and equipment
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed for proper sanitation
• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, ceilings, drains, and all facility areas
• Use cleaning chemicals and sanitation tools safely and effectively
• Follow all company sanitation procedures, food safety standards, and OSHA guidelines
• Inspect equipment and areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met
• Properly document sanitation activities as required
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete all assigned tasks within the shift

Qualifications:

• Previous sanitation or industrial cleaning experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work long shifts (12–14 hours) in a physically demanding environment
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and following safety protocols
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance for scheduled Sunday shifts

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in wet, humid, and varying temperature conditions
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and physically demanding tasks

Work Environment:

• Industrial/food production setting
• Exposure to water, cleaning agents, and loud equipment
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required

Pay: $25.00 per hour
