Job Summary
Gielow Pickles is seeking a reliable and motivated Afternoon Shift Supervisor to oversee daily production and operations during the afternoon shift. This role is responsible for supervising employees, ensuring product quality and food safety standards, meeting production goals, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support production employees during the afternoon shift
- Ensure production schedules and daily goals are met
- Enforce food safety, quality, sanitation, and GMP standards
- Monitor production processes and address issues as they arise
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
- Maintain accurate production, attendance, and shift reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with management and other shift supervisors
- Address employee concerns and assist with problem-solving
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred (manufacturing or food production a plus)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred
- Ability to work on your feet and in a production environment
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to required weight (as applicable)
- Comfortable working in a food production environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 65 per week
