Financial Accounting Analyst

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING ANALYST

The Financial Accounting Analyst oversees the financial operations for a small manufacturing company having both domestic and international clients. Key responsibilities include conducting financial analysis and collaborating with other departments to support the decision-making process.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily financial operations: Oversee all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, collections and the monthly and annual close processes.
• Financial reporting and analysis: Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts. Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Budget and forecasting: Develop and manage the annual budget, and perform financial forecasts to support strategic planning.
• Project Costing: Accumulate project costs and prepare job profitability reports.

Required skills and qualifications

• Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Experience: 5 years of experience in accounting.
• Technical skills: Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) is essential.
• Soft skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are critical.
• Personal attributes: A high level of accuracy and attention to detail are important.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
