Staff Accountant

Gibson Teldata, Inc is looking to fill our Staff Accountant position. Our goal is to fill this position as soon as possible but no later than June 30, 2026. 

Staff Accountant Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of detailed general ledger accounting and financial reporting. Other work history will be considered based on 10 years or more of accounting experience.

·        Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls.

·        Proficient in payroll tax filings and regulations.

·        Advanced skills in Excel required including pivot tables and v-lookup.

·        Experience with accounting software. Knowledge of Sage 300 accounting software a plus but not mandatory

·        Ability to multi task, prioritize, organize and meet deadlines.

·        Strong communication skills that promote a team environment.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

·        Weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing and related payroll tax filings.

·        Assistance in preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements.

·        Assist with analysis of general ledger accounts and entering adjusting journal entries.

·        Routine accounts payable and accounts receivable payment processing.

·        Cross training when other accounting professionals are on vacation or personal time off.

·        Bank reconciliations for multiple entities.

·        Assist with the general ledgers and financial statements of related companies including:

o  Rental real estate companies

o  Communication tower companies

o  Underground utility construction company

·        Support with year-end financial and tax preparation activities including 1099’s and W-2’s.

·        Other duties as assigned.

Salary range for Staff Accountant: $50,000 to $65,000 based on qualifications and experience.
