JOB DESCRIPTION:
A Quality Control Specialist is responsible for supporting the construction efforts of the project.
Inspecting the work done by both the Aerial team and the Underground teams both inhouse and subcontractor
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- the ability to work safely, with or without supervision.
- the ability to follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing.
- Completion of low level and high level labor intensive tasks as well as operation of assigned construction equipment.
- Completion of daily production reports to document work performed.
- Additional Quality Control Duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must present a positive, professional image to employees, customers, and clients in all interactions.
Must have strong communication skills and experience working with customers.
Must have a strong working knowledge of basic hand tools.
Have problem-solving skills and able to think on your feet.
Have a good working knowledge of computers.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to pass a nationwide background check and drug screen.
Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Certification
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Exposure to varying temperatures as work is primarily outside.
Noise levels are moderate to heavy.
Work in different types of terrain including water, sand, and dirt.
Varying degrees of light as work may begin early morning and continue in the evenings and overnight.
PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to carry 60-70 1bs, to include an extension ladder.
Must be able to work at 28 feet or higher.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
Must be able to bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb and lift throughout work shift.
TRAVEL
Travel from home with multiple overnight stays is required with this position.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must possess a valid Driver’s License during the term of employment.
